As-Salamu Aleikum Parents,
this is to let you know that grade 2A are reading buddies with Tr. Kheirta's grade 7 class. We have spent two periods so far where students took turns reading to each of their reading buddies. The grade 7s really took their job of helping the grade 2s with reading strategies seriously. It also gave the grade 2s a chance to venture outside the class and go upstairs to the grade 7 class. The children were very excited about the whole program and enjoyed it. I found the one on one time spent reading was very beneficial, al-humdulilah.
Jazakalakhair to Tr. Kherta for facilitating this beneficial program.

A Message from Librarian Tr. Nancy about the Poster Project
Dear Parents,
Assalamu Alaikum
Teacher Aisha has given your child a poster project to do.
As with any research project, credit must be given where credit is
due. For this reason, I have given your child an example of a simple
bibliography to use when citing his/her source. This example can be used
whenever your child uses a book for research. Citing sources is an important
part of the research process.
Sincerely,
Nancy
