Today we had a wonderful day alhamdulilah!
Social Studies: Students sat on the carpet and we looked at different types of maps. They went back to their places and completed a map worksheet where they read the map and answered questions about it.
Language: Students sat on the carpet and I read "I Wanna Iguana". They went back to their places and completed a comprehension quiz about the story.
Math: Students were reminded of yesterday's lesson about prediction. We completed page 123 in our math book where we tossed a two-coloured counter 15 times and recorded the results in a tally chart and bar graph.
Science: We are learning about reptiles and amphibians. We listened to a book on razkids "Slithery and Slimy" (level k) where we learned about the difference between reptiles and amphibians. We did the quiz as a class.
Islamic Studies: We are learning about prayer. Today we started lesson 3 (Unit C) where we talked about the benefits of prayer and how it is our key to Jannah.
Homework:
- Homework pack (due on Wednesday)
- Students have a math quiz on Wednesday, 12/17/2014 on pictographs and bar graphs.
Reminders:
- Today students took home some quizzes and their mammal rubric. Please sign them and send them to school by Monday.
- This Saturday we have a Fundraising Dinner at school. Students will get to go to their classes and enjoy many fun activities like face painting, games and more! Looking forward to seeing you all this Saturday in shaa Allah!
