Classwork and Homework

Alsalamu alaikum,

Today we had a great day alhamdulilah!

Writing: Students sat on the carpet and we talked about the author's purpose (to persuade, to inform or to entertain). Students were reminded of "I Wanna Iguana", they took turns to give examples of ways they can persuade their parents to get them to buy  a pet.

Students completed a worksheet where they chose a pet and wrote reasons of why this pet is good and how they would take care of it.

Reading: Each student chose a book to read. They wrote the title of the book in their journals, the author's purpose and two sentences about the book.

Math Project: Students worked in groups to conduct a survey. They came up with a question to ask 10 students, and showed the results in a tally chart, a bar graph and pictograph on chart paper. Tomorrow students will take turns to present their projects in groups in front of the class in shaa Allah.

We had a goodbye party for Ibraheem today. We had great food, and watched a movie! We had a fabulous time alhamdulilah! We will all miss you so much, Ibraheem!
