We had a great day on Friday alhamduilah!
Writing: Students wrote simple sentences about our trip to Baxter Conservation Area. We learned how to organize our thoughts when writing, and to answer the 5 Ws + 1. Students also wrote about some of the things they learned there, and they circled all the verbs.
Math: We learned different ways to represent whole numbers (calendar, 10 frames, tally marks, drawings). Students worked independently to represent whole numbers using WIN (words, illustrations and numbers).
Art: We made Thumbprint Bugs in Jars using paint, construction paper, crayons and permanent markers. It was a fun art project to make body parts, antennae, spots and eyes on all kinds of creepy
crawlers since we are learning about insects.
Reminders:
- Students have a spelling quiz on Monday on the list words (LONG VOWEL I)
- Homework pack is due on Wednesday.
- Please make sure you remind your child to check his/her agenda.
Enjoy the rest of your evening!
