Today's Classwork and Homework

Assalamu Alaikum,

Today we had a FABULOUS day masha'Allah!

Reading: Today students sat on the carpet and Aleen read us "Mud Pies". We talked about the different pies we like and each student said what their favorite pie was. Masha'Allah Aleen did a great job reading the story! We all enjoyed it very much!

Math: Students had a pop quiz on PATTERNS. We revised growing patterns, and students took turns to extend growing patterns on the board. Then, they extended more growing patterns in their math journals.

Grammar: We completed a worksheet on proper and common nouns.

Gym: We went to the gym and played Red Light/ Green Light, Freeze Tag and Giant Soup!

Islamic Studies: Students sat on the carpet and I read "Eid Around the World" in our "I Love Islam" textbook. We learned that Muslims around the world celebrate Eid in different ways.  We learned how people celebrate Eid in Pakistan, Iran, Egypt and Trinidad. Some students took turns to tell the class how they celebrate Eid in their country.
